The company would be based on an understanding that
the passing of knowledge was far more than just a commercial proposition.
In 2003 Miriam and Johanna, both working as consultants and facilitators in the corporate education sector, regularly met to discuss work and soon realised they shared a vision for the ideal corporate education company. The company would be based on an understanding that the passing of knowledge was far more than just a commercial proposition. It would be based on the understanding that learning always takes place inside a cultural context, belief-system and set of values. It would put emphasis on the human rather than the resource. It would be an open, transparent and democratic company that took responsibility for the implications of what they taught – it would practice what it preached. Even better it would be fun and people could have a place to do what they loved. Facilitators in the company would not only be well-versed in the latest educational theories but also gifted with specific skills. They would be highly observant, empathetic and responsive. In 2005 the vision became reality - Be Learning - a corporate education company based on strong ethical values – was born. At the centre of the company is our endeavour to explore and live our core values: To work with clients and colleagues in partnerships that are transparent and open. Facilitators in the company would not only be well-versed
in the latest educational theories but also gifted with specific skills.
To unite with clients and colleagues in a common vision to support the learning, development and personal growth of people at work. To encourage everyone with whom we work (colleagues, clients and employees) to do what they love, love what they do and reach their potential. To
foster trust and enjoyment in the journey and the creative process. |
